About us and methodology
GeoStock3D is an interactive map of world affairs and the stock market: it finds what news outlets around the world publish, summarises and classifies it, and shows on a 3D globe how countries and companies are connected.
Who is behind it
GeoStock3D is an independent project created and run by Aimad el Hammouti, based in Spain.
It does not depend on any government, political party or media group.

What this site adds
A map that shows, country by country, what is happening and with whom: each story draws its links to the countries or companies involved.
For each story, our own headline and summary, the tone between the countries involved and, for wars, sanctions or treaties, its possible economic impact.
A daily ranking of the most important and most read stories, comparisons of how two countries cover the same issue, and analyses signed by the owner.
A stock market section that links the news to the listed companies they mention.
Where the news comes from
From the public RSS feeds of news outlets in each country and from the GDELT Project (https://www.gdeltproject.org/), an open database that records the stories published by outlets around the world.
GDELT and RSS feeds tell us that a story exists (address, date, outlet, topics). The rights to each article remain with its outlet: we do not republish its text, excerpts or images. We publish our own headline and summary with a prominent link to the original story. GDELT's terms (checked on 29-09-2026) allow unrestricted use, including commercial use, citing "the GDELT Project" with a link to its website; that attribution does not cover the articles, which belong to each outlet.
An outlet's text is only processed when there is lawful access and no applicable text and data mining reservation has been detected. We check its robots.txt (including blocks on AI crawlers such as GPTBot or CCBot), the TDMRep signal (tdm-reservation) and the noai tag: if there is a reservation, we use nothing from that outlet. We do not circumvent paywalls or restricted access. The text is kept only while the AI writes the summary (48 hours at most) and is then deleted.
Our crawler identifies itself as GeoStock3DBot. To exclude your outlet, block GeoStock3DBot or AI crawlers in your robots.txt, or use the contact form.
The system checks the sources of each country every few minutes.
Methodology: how each story is analysed
An artificial intelligence model (Google's Gemini) reads the headline and text published by the outlet and returns our own headline, a summary limited to the basic fact (what, who, where, when), the tone, the countries or companies involved and, where relevant, the possible economic impact. The rules and controls are explained on the "Use of artificial intelligence" page.
Tone: "Hostile" (conflicts, sanctions, wars or tensions between countries or disputes between companies), "Beneficial" (agreements, alliances or diplomacy; mergers or partnerships between companies), "Neutral" (domestic politics or news without international impact) and "Irrelevant" (sports, entertainment; not shown). The AI also gives an intensity from -1 (very hostile) to +1 (very beneficial).
Links: the countries or companies that take part in the event, not those that merely report it (the outlet's country is not counted).
Duplicates: the same story told by several outlets is detected by comparing headlines and shown once.
Importance (Top page): intensity of the tone, whether it is clearly conflict or cooperation, how many countries or companies are involved, whether it has economic impact and how recent it is; at most three stories per country or company. "Most read" counts real visits to each story. Before that, stories are selected by topic (conflict, sanctions, diplomacy, markets...), by the relevance of the outlet and by the number of countries involved.
We do not calculate time horizons, probabilities or confidence levels: every score is the automatic estimate of a model, not an objective measurement.
Colours: on the map and in the stock grid, green and red show the tone of the story between countries or companies. They are not price movements or buy or sell signals.
When the automatic analysis is not available, a provisional keyword-based classification is used, it is marked on the story and only the headline and link are shown.
Editorial standards
Neutrality: summaries are written in a news-agency style, attributing each claim to whoever makes it ("according to Moscow", "according to Kyiv"). We do not justify, deny or downplay wars, attacks or their victims.
Accusations are presented as accusations and private individuals without public office are not named.
We do not publish outlets sanctioned in the European Union or state propaganda media (for example RT or Sputnik), and we do not show images of violence.
Stories about deaths, attacks, terrorism, crime, corruption or sanctions go to a human review queue; we hide stories that do not meet these standards.
Corrections policy
Anyone can report an error with the "Report an error" link on every story and analysis, or through the contact form.
The legal right of reply (Spanish Organic Law 2/1984) is separate: it has its own form type, and an admissible correction is published in full, without comment, next to the story within 3 days (see the legal notice).
If there is an error, we correct the story or remove it. A corrected story says so ("reviewed by the editor"), and the previous version is kept internally: we do not silently delete evidence.
Significant corrections to an analysis are indicated in the analysis itself with the update date.
Copyright requests: we hide the content as soon as we receive them and review them afterwards.
Financial information
The stock market section is information, not advice. We do not recommend buying, selling or holding any security, we do not offer personalised recommendations, portfolios or alerts, and the AI is instructed not to write investment advice (sentences that sound like it are removed automatically).
We separate what the source reports (facts, company results, third-party forecasts attributed to whoever makes them) from the AI interpretation, which is always labelled as such.
The stock labels ("Agreement", "Dispute", "Informational") describe the type of news between companies; they do not say whether a share is good or bad. We do not publish price forecasts or rankings of "winning" or "losing" companies, and sentences that look like a forecast are removed automatically.
Our sources are news outlets; they may cite other media or rumours. For any decision, check official sources: company filings, regulators and stock exchanges.
Conflicts of interest and funding
GeoStock3D does not accept payments from companies or governments to appear, to change how they are classified or to publish content.
Owner's declaration (positions in listed companies, sponsorships, payments or commercial affiliations): Ninguno (updated 2026-10-01)
For now the site has no advertising. If it does in the future, it will be labelled "Advertisement" and advertisers will have no influence on which stories are published or how they are classified.
Contact channels
Errors, enquiries and right of reply: [email protected]. Copyright: [email protected]. Data protection: [email protected]. Security: [email protected]. Or all of them through the contact form, each type in its own queue.
Accessibility
The 3D globe has a text alternative: the list of stories for each country and the country pages. Colour is never the only signal: every tone has its name. If your system asks to reduce motion, the globe does not rotate on its own.
If you find a barrier, tell us through the contact form and we will fix it or offer the information in another way.
