Cookie policy

Which cookies and local storage we use and how to control them. Last updated: 2 de octubre de 2026. This is a translation for convenience; in case of discrepancy the Spanish version prevails.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. We also use an equivalent technology, the browser's local storage (localStorage).

2. Necessary and preference storage (no consent required)

gs_consent (local storage): your cookie choice, with a random identifier, the version of the notice and the date. Duration: 12 months; then you are asked again.

gs_cid (local storage, only when there are ads): a random identifier attached to your choice in Google’s message, only so that we can prove it. It is not used for statistics or to track you. Until you clear the site data; on the server, 25 months.

gs_noads (local storage and first-party cookie): only in the site owner's browser, if enabled, so that they do not see their own ads. 1 year.

gp_lang (first-party cookie): the language the site opens in. Duration: 12 months.

geopulse_lang and geopulse_theme (local storage): language and light or dark mode.

stockIndexFilter, stockSectorFilter, gp_feed_collapsed, gp_split_* and gp_newsonly_* (local storage): stock filters, collapsed live feed and map size on mobile.

Local storage lasts until you clear the site data. It never leaves your device and cannot identify you.

Our own visit statistics use no cookies or local storage (gs_consent and gs_cid only store your cookie choice).

3. Measurement and advertising (require your consent)

No measurement or advertising script is loaded before you decide. If you reject, they are not loaded.

Measurement: we currently use no third-party measurement tool.

Advertising: there are no ads right now. When there are, this policy will list the providers and consent will be requested in a certified notice.

4. How to accept, reject or withdraw consent

The notice offers "Reject all", "Settings" (by category) and "Accept all", with the same prominence.

You can change your mind at any time under "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page: withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

Your choice expires after 12 months or when the purposes or providers change; you will then be asked again.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block them all, the site still works.
